Annunciation made to Mary
… When I first came to know you,
I was still of tender age, ten years, no more;
Was this an age at which to fall for you?
Who could have said that this eternal love would be for ever pure, a model and mysterious?
You are that Grail which transforms my tears,
The rock which stands against the cruel test of time,
All gaiety, joy … and future hope…
For you and before you, heroes, goddesses, muses and magic fays bow their heads…
And through you flows every expression, every communication…
When cowardice and care make me leave you,
I seem to lose my very self,
And only when I find you, find again my being,
And so I join with you a little space,
Wide and vast like infinite time.
