Love and creation

What does love, create mean?
Love whom? And Create what?

An act, a work of Art, a thought, a symphony…
Creation, the whole existence, the nebulae, the galaxies, the solar and luminous systems, the planets, the stars, the cosmos, the void… Create a family, to give birth to beings in the flesh, to erect cities, living spaces, nations… Create schools, armies, congregations, competitions, trends, societies… An endless list…

When it comes to Fine Arts, the game is different. Here the ego has its personal world. The “me” who was, who is, and who will be. The self is in perpetual evolution. Creation is realized body and soul through the creative human being, he puts his soul and all his genius, his gifts, his sensitivity, his feelings, his love, his capacities although limited, his science, his technique, his will, his poetry…

The verb “to create” has many mutual, intimate relations with the verb to love. Loving or tasting a salad, a food, a fruit, a flower, an object, a bar of chocolate, one’s heritage, one’s homeland, sport, ideas, passions, ideals, virtues, values, one’s children, one’s parents … Loving a stranger, a human being, or an animal, finally Paradise, the Saints, Christ God (through religious data, faith, beliefs…). Art which is a purely human, cerebral, sentimental activity… joins the sublime, Love and passion.

Creating from his own “me”, the artist seeks through his imagination, his culture, his wealth, his originality, his prayers and principles, to exteriorize a poem, a sculpture, shapes, lines and colors getting his inspiration from his natural and human environment, from all of creation, from his readings, from his vision, from the concrete and the abstract, from the music that charms and intoxicates… In short, all of this forms his language, his grammar with which he expresses himself using the appropriate technique: words for literature, colors for painting, notes for music, lines, instruments and matter for sculpture and architecture… Dancing is the expression through his body, movements, attitudes, images, rhythms, photography, cinema…

The Creator has sown in the hearts of his creatures this fertile and inflamed seed that voluntarily obliges every artist to spend sleepless nights in order to succeed in his work of Art. He is contaminated by this burning fire inherited from his ancestors… The Father makes every work of Art sacred. The act of creating is a sacred act, a prayer, a communion with the Highest. The works of Art of great artists bear witness to this. We can do more research to find the role of Forgiveness in this whole game. The big hearts that love are hearts that forgive, that have no place for resentment and revenge.

Create, love, forgive is the same principle, that of the communicating vase.
